Earthquake Hits California

I was browsing the internet and I see this newsflash, Apparently it was a magnitude 6.5 earthquake. This is very much capable of  toppling down posts, and buildings. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties. It must be really rough for our friends out there, California is near the fault lines and I believe, tremors are very much active in that area. Earthquakes are something that usually occurs without any prior notice or warning so it is a must that we all know the basic things to do during and earthquake. I have several friends out there in California, but I’m not sure if they were affected, because it occured in Eureka. This somehow reminds me of the recent movie 2012, which shows California being devastated by a massive earthquake.

Sometimes it leaves me wondering if an earthquake just like that will occur. Hopefully it will not occur in real life. It is entertaining to watch in movies, but experiencing an earthquake in real life is very much not entertaining. I just hope and pray that there won’t be any follow-up or aftershock earthquakes in the place, which is believe is Eureka California.

I guess the best thing to do is not to panic and keep all things in perspective. To my reader’s who are from the place of the earthquake in california, please do take care..
