Precious Moments: Sampaguita Gardens

This is really a late post. This should have been posted a long time ago before I should have went to review at Cebu. But anyways, things like that do happen and just like the cliche “better late than never”. After spending five days of fun in Boracay Island, it was time for us to go home. But on our way, we took a detour to Sampaguita Gardens in Aklan. For a little background, Sampaguita Garden is the home of the “Precious Moments” Collection. Those cute dolls that have made their way to mugs, greeting cards and very much all merchandise. The Garden looks like a page taken out of a fairy tale book. A place where not only the youn but the young-at-heart will enjoy. Too bad that we do not have enough time to fully absorbe the place’s ambience since we have a boat to catch. But I really recommend you guys to visit this place. If you are planning to go to Boracay, why not before heading straight home, make a detour to Sampaguita Gardens to awaken that small child in you.

Two bronze horses stand guard at the entrance to the Oriental Garden. The stimulating scent of Ylang-ylang pervades as you walk through footpaths designed by Sam Butcher. On the sides are meandering paths with koi ponds, animals in concrete materials, jars and other ceramic decors, and nooks and crannies with sculptures and effigies that offer photographic opportunities.
