A few days ago, a reader asked me if I could post her article regarding a cutting edge product. Well since this blog also caters to technology news, I said “Why not?”. Today, I discovered that it is actually a headphone that utilizes flatwire technology. This is not my first time to encounter the flatwire technology, the company that I was doing my on-the-job training was developing an application for it. Its good that the flatwire technology is starting to enter the mainstream market. I have not really come across this headphone to actually here its quality but for now I’m gonna share to you the article which was written by Kenny Mitchell and here it is:
If you’ve heard of AKG K 701 headphones, you’re probably a recording studio owner, hardcore musician, or die-hard audio buff. These headphones from AKG are at the top of its line, the audio world’s version of hi-def TV. If you want the best in audio performance, ditch your cheap headphones and do your favorite songs the justice they deserve: invest in AKG K 701 Headphones!
In fact, the wildly famous underground band, Rendezvous, is currently using AKG K 701 for recording and mixing their very first album. Rendezvous is a jazz and electronica band who earned quite a following in underground circles because of their successful EP released five years ago. Now, they are working with mainstream music greats, like David Bascombe, who has mixed and produced songs for Suede, Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbruglia, Placebo, Korn, and many other outstanding artists.
If you’re wondering what makes AKG K 701 different, it’s the flat-wire technology they utilized. AKG is actually the very first company to actually make use of flat-wire technology for their headphones.
The AKG K 701 has a patented Varimotion diaphragm that features not one, but two layers, rendering a high precision sound delivery system. Its ear pads are also comfortably shaped to mold to your ears, thus earning its “3D-Form” moniker.
If you consider yourself to be a true-blue audio buff or a musician with great artistic integrity, then it’s time to make the switch. For one, the jazz-electropop band Rendezvous is not willing to compromise when it comes to the quality of their music.
Perhaps that’s why Rendezvous now has 8000 loyal fans on Facebook and 15,000 views on YouTube. In fact, they’ve earned 1000 fans in less than a month. Seems like they know exactly what they’re doing; after all, they’re using AKG K 701 and nothing less.
Visit AKG’s website or listen to Rendezvous and hear the difference.
And here are to images to give you an idea of how it looks like. Personally, I find it cool looking and I do hope I could get my hands on it and give it a try.
