The Nikon D3100 is almost here, that is according to various web sources. Well its about time Nikon updates their entry level lineup. But I find it actually awkward as the name somehow reminds me of a cellular phone . However , this entry level camera will sport a 14 Megapixel CMOS sensor and promises 1080p Full HD Video.
The internet is actually buzzing with rumors as to when the Nikon D3100 release date is. At this rate , its very likely that before August ends, it will become available. If you are wondering on the alleged specifications, here’s something that I have stumbled over at the internet:

So the D3100 somehow sits in between the D3000 and D5000. But at $800 i’d rather get a D90 if I want a flexible and more rugged camera body. But that’s just me, the features that this latest Nikon cam sports is pretty competitive at its advertised price.
Time dissolves rumors and I guess it really does apply to this one. I also believe that this is just the tip of the Nikon 2010 Iceberg, the possibility of newer camera models is just too high. Its about time Nikon updates its camera line.
