Backyard Monsters Cheats Update and Defensive Strategy Guide

I have been playing Backyard Monsters in Facebook and in fact I even made a post featuring six tips that will aid you in the game. The game has evolved a lot from that point and has undergone several cosmetic and functionality changes. Gone are the cute and cuddly monsters, the monsters now totally look ferocious and savage. There are also several new structures as well as tweaked items.

The popularity of the said post (and the game) compells me to make another related entry, but this time I will focus on the different defensive strategies that you can adapt in Backyard Monsters. This strategy guide will hopefiully protect your shiny base from annoying attacks that leave your base a total wreck.

Strategy is the name of the game here. You just can’t afford to just build blindly by putting structures here and there. Especially now that the latest Backyard Monsters update call for a more aggressive behavior. Building a battery of defensive structures is not just enough to stop the siege of your friends. So here are some creative defensive tips that will surely help you out in keeping your base alive.

Create a Funnel in your Wall and Hide it Behind a Structure- If you have seen the movie 300 then you will surely see the funnel at its best. Basically it makes the monsters pass a very narrow path were the will be pelted by your cannons and laser towers. To make it more effective, you can cover it from plain sight so that attackers would think that it is actually a solid wall. This strategy stems from that fact that monsters would prefer not to break through walls if they see an opening. From there on, the will be welcomed by mines and cannon fire.
Eye-Ra+Bunker= Impenetrable- The latest update introduces us a new defensive structure in the form of a bunker, where we are able to place monsters. Now they have a fighting chance rather than just stay in the monster pen and wait to get squashed. The best monster to place in the bunker is no other than Eye-Ra. Its damage is just to insane to handle. Try it for yourself!
Deception is the key- All warfare is based on deception and Backyard Monsters is WAR. Always strive to decieve your enemy with you elaborate structures. Who knows it might discourage him to even just set foot on your base. It goes a long way in terms of economics.
Mine your Own Business- Mines are a very valuable asset, they are cheap and fast to deploy. It has been observed that they are more effective in clusters of 3 or 4 mines. But be sure to place them in choke points for maximum effect.

Eye-Ras can be countered. they are not all-that. first, you should always check whats in a bunker by putting 1 or 2 units near it to make the units in the bunker come out. If it is eyeras, simply put in one unit at a time(preferably an inexpensive, low-heatlh unit if there isn’t defensive towers that will kill the unit before the eyeras get to it) and make the eyeras waste themselves by only blowing up one unit.

ooday March 20, 2011 at 5:23 am: To prevent from that, put a monster in the bunker that is faster then the eye-ra and make it a mix… that will also give enemies monsters a place to stop and cluster for the explosion

Should watch out when you put eyera into your bunkers for some brainy attackers will test out what is in your bunker. They may even use pokeys to lure out your eyera. You will be wasting away your eyera if that happens. Secondly, a mazey defense may be an excellent idea for high protection. Keep all your precious buildings right in the middle of your whole base and put towers to surround them. When the enemies are passing through the maze, they will be terribly thrashed by the towers behind the walls. Lastly, to address the problem bout wasting away the eyera, there is a simple way to prevent this from happening Since most towhall and harvesters will be right in the middle of the whole yard, you may consider putting the bunker just beside the townhall as well. These way, enemy soldiers cannot get into the bunker’s range easily till they penetrate the first few defense.

thomas July 6, 2011 at 4:27 pm: that is true i have used pokey and destroyed like 3 yards because i wasted eyera but have you noticed that if you have a maze the monsters just destroy the walls and go through the base easyer than normal.it would be a waste of blocks/what i am trying to say is that you should leave no gaps in your walls so that they have to brake them ok .glad i could help

my favorite yard to bully before was brandon, and i always get so many resources. and also before we were both level 1 map room. and now i cant find and attack him any more because his in level 2 map room and and im in level 1 map room. so sad. i cant attack him any more! he was my favorite target! hahahahahaha!!! >B]]

I am new to this game and have done everything possible encluding buying a. Lot of shinny’s to catch up with my husband and son. I am very confused as to several items in this game. One of the posts are how to get unlited shunts free. Could you explain it to me. I have already spent over $200 of course my husband is not happy. I need to find another way. Thanks
