Number of View: 3422

The Nikon D3100 is almost here, that is according to various web sources. Well its about time Nikon updates their entry level lineup. But I find it actually awkward as the name somehow reminds me of a cellular phone . However , this entry level camera will sport a 14 Megapixel CMOS sensor and promises 1080p Full HD Video.

The internet is actually buzzing with rumors as to when the Nikon D3100 release date is. At this rate , its very likely that before August ends, it will become available. If you are wondering on the alleged specifications, here’s something that I have stumbled over at the internet:

14 MP CMOS Sensor (23.2 x 15.5 mm)

Live View

3 Inch LCD

ISO Range of 100 – 12800

Manual and Automatic ISO Selection

11 Autofocus Points

HD Video Recording (1920 x 1080)

Costs 650€ (~$830)

New EXPEED2 Processor

Improved Object Recognition for AF

Improved In-Camera Menus

Ability to Save Profile Pictures

So the D3100 somehow sits in between the D3000 and D5000. But at $800 i’d rather get a D90 if I want a flexible and more rugged camera body. But that’s just me, the features that this latest Nikon cam sports is pretty competitive at its advertised price.

Time dissolves rumors and I guess it really does apply to this one. I also believe that this is just the tip of the Nikon 2010 Iceberg, the possibility of newer camera models is just too high. Its about time Nikon updates its camera line.

I will be providing more info on Nikon D3100 as soon as I get my hands on them. For now, you might want to check out these awesome frontierville cheats.

Number of View: 1468

One of my Online Money Making scheme involves website graphics design and typography plays a crucial role in designing websites. Its not really about fancy designs, catchy headers or anything like that makes a website look great but its the typography. People will be reading your articles after all and you should be able to present them in such a way the text looks harmonious and easy on the eyes. The most common fonts used top achieve this effect are the Sans Serif Fonts like Arial, Tahoma and of course the Futura Font. Futura comes in several versions such as Futura Black,Futura Condensed,Steile Futura and many more.

I personally love futura for its style and simplicity. Arial is too plain for my tastes that’s why I prefer to use Futura as my primary fonts in almost all of my designs unless theres a need to use other typefaces. I guess it all boils down to a matter of personal preference.

Futura is commercially available and can be purchased for at myfonts.com for as low as $39. If you’re working as a graphics designer, its worth shelling out some cash for this font family. If you’re one of those who prefer to get stuff for free, you can try to look at torrent sites but I do not encourage such action as it may violate copyright laws.

I know several internet sites that offer Free Futura Font Downloads but I cannot guarantee if this is all legit but you can still check this site out . As always, download at your own risk.

Number of View: 671

Have you ever encountered NSIS Error? This is my first time to actually encounter such error in my years of installing all kinds of software. The error occured when I installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 which I have downloaded from the Kaspersky site itself. Apparently, my download was corrupted and the NSIS Error popped up. Curious as to what this error is about, I searched for it on the internet and from what I’ve learned the acronym actually stands for Nullsoft Scriptable Install System which in english means that the installer is corrupted or damaged.

How to solve it? Yes you can basically delete the installer and download again but there’s a pretty nifty and simple instruction on making your corrupted installer work though its not really a guarantee. I followed these 4 simple steps from eHow.com and miraculously the program began installing. But to my sheer bad luck the installer stopped somewhere at 65% so yes, I have to really download a fresh file. Actually there was a fineprint that I have failed to see which states that the steps are not guaranteed.

But then again, its worth trying out those simples steps rather than downloading again especially if you are dealing with a large file. So there you have it folks, my first encounter with NSIS Error and how I managed to “fix” it.

Number of View: 242

Let’s face it, the computer is a complex machine and can be downright unpredictable. There will be times that a program will suddenly stop functioning and you have no single clue as to why this happened. But before you start to panic and call for professional assistance, I suggest that you try these simple techniques. I came up with these techniques based on years of assisting friends with regards to computer issues be it software, hardware or both. These techniques are based on my own experience and if there exist something like this over the internet, then its purely coincidental.

Sometimes All It Needs is A Reset - Yes,sometimes the computer just wants to take a quick break. Most software related problems can be solved by just pressing the the Reset if not the Power Button. Believe me, restarting the system will most likely solve the problem.

Uninstall/Install Repeat - Ever experienced a software installation that failed? Before deciding to totally scrap the said software and convincing yourself that you got a bad copy, why not uninstall the software and install it again but this time pay close attention to what you are doing since you may have missed an important step that caused the software not to work.

Know the System Requirements – It goes without saying that newer software versions require more juice that previous versions. It follows that if you have a computer system that was built around 2006 and you used a 2010 version of a software, chances are you’ll encounter some performance issue

Buy Original Software – They say that peace of mind is priceless. That is why if you really want “peace of mind” and get guaranteed customer support, you’d better off invest in original software.

Harness the Power of Search Engines – Whenever you encounter an error, chances are you’re not the only one having that issue. So it really helps if you use the search engines in looking for the solution. How? A simple copying and pasting of the error message will suffice. I’ve encountered countless errors and I have found the solutions by just copying and pasting it to my favorite search engine.

Use COMMON SENSE - This is by far the most important and most obvious (funny that it gets neglected though) step. Common sense applies to any situation in life and will most likely be the difference between life and death situations.

So there you have it , another “six” post and this time its all about computers. One more important thing to remember when dealing with computers is that panicking, screaming, bashing and other violent actions won’t do you any good at all. Computers are machines and they won’t give a dime to your tantrums and whatnot. I would really appreciate reactions to this posts and I’d welcome a good debate so please share your thoughts.

I’m sure that I’m not the only one who is looking for Adobe CS5 Free Download in the internet. Knowing Adobe, I am sure that they are going to release trial versions of this latest suite.

I’m really excited to learn that Adobe Premiere now natively supports Nikon D-movie. So no more D90/D300s video problems for me. I am also curious with the new features for Flash, Photoshop, After Effects and of course Dreamweaver. I am really hoping that there would be a Adobe CS5 Free Download soon

Number of View: 240

Got this news from Geeky Gadgets and my initial reaction was like “Do I really need that much space for my dSLR?”. I mean I hardly utilize my 4GB SDHC during photoshoots. I usually average 400-500 fine jpeg shots during major events such as Weddings and Parties. Maybe this is the solution to those who prefer to shoot RAW and those who utilize HD Movies on bodies like the Nikon D90 and D300s. This is really a big innovation but I am not sure if everyone will embrace this card (I’m talking of the present here). The fact that most cameras are not yet SDXC ready is another obstacle that this card will hurdle.

On a brighter side, It is great to see that memory cards are getting higher storage capacities each year without any compromise to size. This is a good sign since the lower capacity card’s price will surely decline. This will probably benefit those individuals who prefer memory cards over portable HDDs.

Guys if you have a Sandisk 64GB SDXC, please feel free to share your insights about it. Regarding actual performance and reliability.

Number of View: 523

A few days ago, a reader asked me if I could post her article regarding a cutting edge product. Well since this blog also caters to technology news, I said “Why not?”. Today, I discovered that it is actually a headphone that utilizes flatwire technology. This is not my first time to encounter the flatwire technology, the company that I was doing my on-the-job training was developing an application for it. Its good that the flatwire technology is starting to enter the mainstream market. I have not really come across this headphone to actually here its quality but for now I’m gonna share to you the article which was written by Kenny Mitchell and here it is:

If you’ve heard of AKG K 701 headphones, you’re probably a recording studio owner, hardcore musician, or die-hard audio buff. These headphones from AKG are at the top of its line, the audio world’s version of hi-def TV. If you want the best in audio performance, ditch your cheap headphones and do your favorite songs the justice they deserve: invest in AKG K 701 Headphones!

In fact, the wildly famous underground band, Rendezvous, is currently using AKG K 701 for recording and mixing their very first album. Rendezvous is a jazz and electronica band who earned quite a following in underground circles because of their successful EP released five years ago. Now, they are working with mainstream music greats, like David Bascombe, who has mixed and produced songs for Suede, Kylie Minogue, Natalie Imbruglia, Placebo, Korn, and many other outstanding artists.

If you’re wondering what makes AKG K 701 different, it’s the flat-wire technology they utilized. AKG is actually the very first company to actually make use of flat-wire technology for their headphones.

The AKG K 701 has a patented Varimotion diaphragm that features not one, but two layers, rendering a high precision sound delivery system. Its ear pads are also comfortably shaped to mold to your ears, thus earning its “3D-Form” moniker.

If you consider yourself to be a true-blue audio buff or a musician with great artistic integrity, then it’s time to make the switch. For one, the jazz-electropop band Rendezvous is not willing to compromise when it comes to the quality of their music.

Perhaps that’s why Rendezvous now has 8000 loyal fans on Facebook and 15,000 views on YouTube. In fact, they’ve earned 1000 fans in less than a month. Seems like they know exactly what they’re doing; after all, they’re using AKG K 701 and nothing less.

Visit AKG’s website or listen to Rendezvous and hear the difference.

And here are to images to give you an idea of how it looks like. Personally, I find it cool looking and I do hope I could get my hands on it and give it a try.

Number of View: 367

Early on today as I was going by my daily routine, a random thought occured to me: There were several dates early on this year that looks like a string of binary numbers. Some of them are 010110,011010,011110 and later on this year are 110110,111110. I was curious if there were other guys who blogged about it and I came across a post in gizmodo which you can read here. Though some may say that I am to geeky but I guess techy guys can relate with me. I mean, its not everyday that we have a string of binary numbers for a date right? I really don’t know but seing 1′s and 0′s for a date is quite appealing in my eyes. Maybe its because I love to keep things plain and simple and maybe the minimalist inside me is screaming upon seeing those dates. What do you think guys? I would love to hear your comments on this one.

My Sony PlayStation Portable bought last May 1,2008

This is for those who are contemplating whether to get this nifty little gadget or not.

The PSP is really worth the price. Not only can you Play PSP Games,Listen to Music,Watch Movies,Surf the Net but you can also do a whole lot more with this little gadget. You can actually play games from other platforms such as the Gameboy Advance, Playstation One, Super Nintendo and even the NES (Family Computer). All you gotta do is switch to a custom firmware and congratulations! you can now play classic games from different platforms in your psp.

Having a PSP with a custom firmware also gives your psp the ability to run homebrew applications like a pdf reader (for reading e-books), customized themes and a lot more that will extend the functionality of the PSP.
